About the project
Built a SaaS platform with shift management, employee roles, automated payroll calculations, and detailed reports. Manager dashboards and employee portals. The system cut operational costs and eliminated calculation errors.
The Challenge
A restaurant chain with 5 locations in Barcelona was tracking employee hours on paper spreadsheets. Payroll calculations took 2 days each month, frequently had errors costing EUR 500-1,000 in overpayments, and managers had no visibility into overtime across locations.
The Solution
- Built a multi-tenant SaaS platform with location-based access control
- Real-time check-in/check-out via tablet kiosks at each location
- Automatic overtime detection and break compliance tracking per Spanish labor law
- Payroll export with pre-calculated hours, overtime multipliers, and holiday pay
- Manager dashboard showing labor costs per location in real-time
